Latest news - our winter offer is now live 3 nights for the price of 2 provided you eat with us those 3 nights. Available 7th January 2026 to 8th March 2026. Click on the button at the bottom of the page to check availability. Please note we will be open most days in January this year - please check for specific closures.
Please note we will be closed from Tuesday 20th January through to 8pm on Thursday 23rd January for a deep clean. Back to normal opening hours from Friday 24th January.

As many of you know, The George Inn is quite small, and while we have a lovely outdoor courtyard, seating is limited. We highly recommend booking a table if you’d like to dine with us at lunch or in the evening. We always reserve dinner tables for our resident guests, and with many visitors staying over the coming months, booking is especially important.
During peak food service times, we may not be able to accommodate those inside just stopping in for a drink, and we may not be able to accommodate groups larger than six or bus parties without prior arrangements. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you to The George soon!
