Nestling beneath the rising fells of Langstrothdale, the inn stands in a stunning location
overlooking the infant river Wharfe.
This traditional Dales Inn with flagged floors, stone walls and mullioned windows is
the last remaining family owned free house in the parish of Buckden, Upper Wharfedale.
Comfortable accommodation, quality home cooked food, well kept cask beers from
Black Sheep and other primarily local breweries together with an excellent selection
of wines and Malts are on offer in our unique inn.
The George is centrally located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is ideal
for touring, cycling or walking being directly on one of the most popular of all
the walks - the Dales Way.
Well appointed and very comfortable En-suite Accommodation available in our 6 letting bedrooms. We have four rooms located in the main pub building on the first floor and two more rooms
in the coach house. Five rooms are en-suite. One of the coach house rooms is located on the ground floor and is more
suitable for those who cannot manage steps easily.

We are celebrating St. Patricks one day late this year on Saturday 18th March with predominantly Irish Folk music from Martin Francis the Georges favourite folk singer. Bookings for Dinner from 6.00pm are now being taken with entertainment scheduled from around 8.30pm
