After a day touring or walking enjoy food served in the cosy surroundings of our Traditional Country Inn, by the open fire or in our dining room, complimented by our range of cask beers and an excellent selection of wines and Malts. Or call in for a light lunch on your way...
We provide a range of food from a lunch time sandwich and home made soups to full three courses served on our evening menu.
Booking is advisable to avoid disappointment, especially in the Summer season.

We are delighted to announce that Sarah Metcalfe has joined us at The George as our new Head Chef.

Sarah grew up less than five miles from The George and over the last twelve years has gained a reputation as an excellent Dales chef. Sarah will be concentrating on locally sourced ingredients, fresh to table dishes, maintaining our reputation for pies, whilst extending our menu to include a variety of excellent traditional dishes and unique and innovative specials.
